Octopus girl and dragonfly acrylic painting

14 x 11

acrylic on canvas

I love tentacles, but I always find them challenging and half way through the painting start thinking, 'what made me decide to do this again?' :)

Octopus Tattoo

octopus bicep tattoo

I put this on my husband, Marc, some time ago... funny how you don't think to take pictures of the tattoos that you do when you live with them :)

Octo Elephant Acrylic Painting

8 x 8

Acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas

Because Octopi and Elephants are way cool and playing with nature is too much fun.

new mutant flower painting

Acrylic on watercolor board

Finished the Chrysanthepus that I posted about earlier... not sure how I feel about it.. may have to do another version :)

Great Horned Octopus

Belvedere - the great horned octopus

9" x 9"

Acrylic on watercolor board

This was fun... I'm quite pleased with the translucent look to his face, not sure how I got it though lol ... will have to see if I can recreate it on my next piece. I have a few process photos also.....

chrysanthemums and octopi

Well, the mutant flower tangent has died out for the moment. I had two paintings started last weekend and haven't touched them since...

Chrysanthepus

Spider Mum

Instead I've been working on an ink drawing of an octopus....

I plan on doing some watercolors over the ink... should have it finished tomorrow. I would like to say the flowers will be finished some time soon... but I've already started sketching a seahorse to go with the octopus so it doesn't look hopeful.

I seem to be incapable of settling on anything for a while :)

Octopus Maid

Acrylic on watercolor board

Here's the second piece I did on Sunday and a companion piece to the seahorse maid I posted yesterday. They were a fun diversion, but I'm back to the mutant flowers now... a 'wild flower' is in the works.
