Seahorse Ink and acrylic painting

Well, here's the finished product. I'm not overly wild about some parts of it, but over all it was fun to do and I did learn a bit. And I named him Lawrence :)

Seahorse ink drawing WIP

The ink drawing portion of this seahorse is almost completed. I'm planning on painting it, similar to my last work great horned octopus painting, using multiple layers of acrylic paint washes. I didn't add as many details into the drawing this time, my focus will be texturing the open spaces with the paint washes.

Acrylic on watercolor board

This was fun... I'm quite pleased with the translucent look to his face, not sure how I got it though lol ... will have to see if I can recreate it on my next piece. I have a few process photos also.....
