Happy little weeping willow tree acrylic painting
This one's for my sweetie... Willows are his favorite tree and he likes little fat froggies. I posted a pencil drawing of her previously here.... Dryad.

Baby Tree Acrylic Painting redux
Sometimes you just have to redo instead of abandoning :) I posted a step-by-step of the rework here... http://www.squidoo.com/making-your-painting-pop. Check it out and let me know what you think!

Baby Tree Acrylic Painting
12 x 16
Acrylic on watercolor board
This is what I did over the Labor Day weekend. I've been tattooing quite a few trees lately and the bark is so much fun! I mostly let the bark texture evolve on it's own so it's not at all uniform in pattern...it was pure play time :)

Because I just can't make up my mind.....
10" x 10"
Acrylic on watercolor board
Yup, it's the same tree as the last post. Loose and flowy? Tight and cartoony? how does one choose? I like this one better... I've always been drawn to the bolder looking stuff but I seem to be fighting it, trying to do other styles that just aren't me... why? probably because I look at this and think "it looks too easy... not enough work went into it" which isn't exactly true, it just looks that way.
it also seems to have grown some boobies lol
