yet another way to ruin a paintbrush....


1) After gessoing a new canvas put brush in jar of water handle first (the trick here is to do it without noticing you did it).

2) Tell yourself I'm just going to do such-n-such over here for a minute and then clean that brush.

3) Wait 24 hours.

4) Sit down next to brush and notice how well you ruined it.

  1. I have yet to find the brush that couldn't be brought back to near-perfect health with Master's Brush Cleaner. And, no, I'm not a spammer. I found your site through your post on Joanne Mattera's blog.

  3. I concur - Master's brush cleaner is fantastic stuff. I've even gotten solidified matte medium out with it (I'm forgetting my brushes all the time...this stuff saves me.)
